  • September 29, 2023 -  A public on-site celebration with the Mayor, Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, and more, in celebration of the completion of the North wall's restoration by contractor Steve Morris

  • September, 2023 - JGPC receives a generous Grant from a New York City-based Foundation.

  • September, 2023 - Confirmation arrives of a wonderful matching grant of over $8000 from the Daughters of the American Revolution.

  • May 2, 2023 - Contractors begin the careful work of restoring the underlying red sandstone of the North (street-facing) wall of the house! An anonymous donor supplies some surplus sandstones that are a good match. Watch our Instagram page and our Facebook page for progress photos.

  • May, 2023 - A busy Grant-writing Spring.

  • January, 2023 - Wrapped up a successful and major end-of-2022 fundraiser. We raised $40K to allow us to pay contractors until reimbursed from a (pending) NY State Grant are accessible. Details to follow.

  • December 31, 2022 - Awarded a reimbursable $75K grant (NY State and Dormitory Authority). Great news!.. details and paperwork will follow, but we are all hopeful.

  • December 12, 2022 - Unveiling ceremony for the Pomeroy Historic marker featuring Mayor Hammond and State Senator Elijah Reichlin-Melnick

  • Bi-weekly Work Parties during Spring/Summer 2022 (see our Facebook page for advance notice)

  • March 19, 2022 - Installation of the William G. Pomeroy Foundation historic marker

  • November 6, 2021 - "Greater Nyack COVID-Fatigue Music Festival", by Eagle Scout Elias Price (Troop 97)

  • March 17, 2021 - Nyack Library and Historical Society of the Nyacks co-sponsored Armchair Tour "The Complicated Legacy of John Green" (incl. discussion).  The talk and discussion can be watched at your convenience!

  • February, 2021 - Nyack Village Board of Trustees designate the John Green House a Village Historic Landmark.

  • December 2020 - Fund raiser through the sale of beautiful Astrith Deyrup paintings

  • November 16, 2019 - John Green House Fall Benefit (hosted by the Nyack Boat Club)
